Grand Movie Theater

The marquee lights flicker on, a long black limousine glides up to the curb, and the star-lined sidewalk fills with photographers waiting for the doors to open. This two-story corner theater captures the golden age of moviegoing, when a night at the pictures was an event worth dressing up for. From the ticket window to the tower spires, it is a centerpiece built for people who love architecture as much as they love a good film.

The build opens up for full interior access. The ground floor holds a lobby with a concession stand and ticket counter, while a grand staircase leads to an auditorium with a wide screen, a movie projector, and reclining seats for six minifigures. Outside, brick-built entrance doors, framed poster boards, sidewalk spotlights, and a corner tower topped with spires and rooftop detailing give the facade real presence on a shelf. Gold-colored accent elements and lettering finish the marquee, and the six included minifigures, a young performer, a chauffeur, two guests, a photographer, and a theater attendant, bring premiere night to life.
