Grand Department Store

A grand corner department store from the age when shopping was an occasion, revolving doors, dressed windows and three floors of retail under one ornate facade. Built to stand alone, and designed to join a street.

Each floor lifts away to reveal a fully furnished interior: a perfume and accessories counter at street level, a clothing department above it, and a furniture floor at the top, linked by a working escalator. Outside, the revolving door turns, awnings shade the display windows, and the ornate cornice and corner tower give the building its unmistakable presence.
