Grand Fairground Carousel

Few attractions capture the magic of a summer fairground like the carousel. Painted panels catch the light, hand-carved animals rise and fall in slow procession, and families crowd the boarding platform waiting for their turn. This display model brings that whole nostalgic scene onto your shelf, right down to the mirrored rounding boards and the flowing canopy overhead.

Turn the hand crank on the base and the whole ride comes to life: the platform rotates while the elephant, tiger, flamingo and frog glide up and down on their poles, with a graceful white swan bench completing the menagerie. The two-level deck pairs a raised boarding platform and handrail with the main ride floor, and the structure is topped by a large fabric canopy above ornate rounding boards finished in blue and gold with reflective center panels. Seven minifigures, a ride operator, mom, dad, boy, girl, grandmother and granddaughter, populate the scene. The mechanism is also built to accept an aftermarket motor and battery box (sold separately) if you would rather let the carousel turn on its own.
