Ancient Roman Amphitheatre

Nearly two thousand years ago a vast oval arena rose at the centre of an ancient capital, its tiered arcades and sun-bleached stone built to hold tens of thousands of spectators. This display model recreates that landmark in miniature, the layered outer facade, the stepped seating bowl, and the exposed chambers beneath the arena floor.

The build rewards patience. The elliptical footprint is assembled in sweeping curved sections, each level stepping inward with its own column style, while a gently sloping cross-section keeps the interior seating and the tunnels below the arena floor visible from every angle. At roughly 59 cm across, the finished model reads as a complete landmark rather than a flat facade, a genuine centrepiece for a shelf, sideboard or display cabinet, and one of the most ambitious builds you can put on display.
