Orbital Fortress

Some models impress by being finished. This one impresses by being caught halfway. A colossal armored sphere hangs in orbit with its outer plating still going on, ribs of exposed superstructure curving away into open space, and an immense concave dish set into one face. It is a display piece about scale and ambition rather than a scene, and it rewards a builder who wants something genuinely monumental on the shelf.

The build is an exercise in geometry. A central spine carries a ring of curved structural arms that establish the sphere, and armored surface panels are layered outward from there so the finished model reads as a vast hull only partly clad. The equatorial trench and the recessed dish give the face its depth, and a dedicated display stand holds the whole assembly at a presentation angle. A miniature capital-ship model is included and mounted to scale, which does more to communicate the sheer size of the fortress than any measurement can.
